MLC is proud to be partnering with the Game Dev Local Expo (GDLX) 2023!
GDLX, in partnership with MLC, is going to be returning in March after its huge success in 2021. As “The Underground Indie Games Showcase”, the popular event is proud to host indie games and their creators. In addition to GDLX’s highly anticipated industry party and networking space, they are doubling the size of their previous event with a stellar lineup of speakers, industry talks and panels, as well as a number of other new surprises.

What will be at GDLX 2023?
GDLX 2023 will be held in the unique space of 26 Leake Street, London, providing a safe and inclusive space for the games industry to come together. Attendees will have the opportunity to attend informative talks from industry veterans, discover new indie games, and most importantly, have fun!
As an indie-focused event and community, GDLX’s aim is to find, showcase and support the best UK indie games. This indie-focused approach ensures that some of the most exciting upcoming indie games join in to share what they’re working on and get invaluable feedback.

We recognise the fantastic platform GDLX brings for indie developers to showcase their work and gain exposure to a larger audience. We believe in the power of community and networking; partnering with GDLX allows us to be a part of this community and support indie developers in their journey.
By supporting indie developers, MLC is excited to be contributing to the growth and development of the gaming industry as a whole. We want to connect with these developers, learn about their latest projects, and provide support/resources to help them succeed.
The Game Dev Local team are not only brilliantly awesome, but they also share our consistent passion for indie games, giving back to the industry and helping indie developers reach their full potential. We’re thrilled to be working together with GDL
We will have our very own MLC Zone, with plenty of the MLC team coming, as well as some fantastic clients of ours exhibiting their games and studios. You’ll have the opportunity to play these games, chat to the devs and meet us!
MLC’s free (bookable with limited slots) “Budget Builder” area will be giving devs at GDLX the opportunity to discuss their game/s, build up their game budget and discover how MLC can help reduce costs through co-development partnerships. These personalised estimates will be based on resources for animation, 3D production (rigging, modelling etc), character design, key art, trailers and more. Book your free slot here.
Reflecting on GDLX 2021 & GDL’s Goal
GDLX 2021 was host to 250+ guests, 12 talks and 10 indie showcases, plus a sellout industry afterparty. Digitally, the event was livestreamed and turned into a special podcast episode which added to our average of 450+ listens per month. The GDL podcast making it to the top 25% of most shared podcasts on Spotify and our video episode in the top 10% most viewed globally.
Game Dev London (GDL) are the awesome team behind the event – a community organization that aims to connect game developers in London and the surrounding areas, and they host various events throughout the year to support this goal.
